NER Signal Box in 7mm and 4mm

Hi Len,

Haven't got that far to be honest; we're still arranging frets and box sizes and labelling and what format the instructions are going to take which all has an impact on a final price. In addition to any final layering tweaks we might make - point rodding apertures/windows for example, though on this aspect I'm leaning towards the idea that the modeller will just cut to their own layout needs and frame with plasticard, similarly with a hearth which isn't present on the models at present.

Kind regards, Alex

Stunning bit of design and production. Wrong area for our (7mm scale) layout but I may just have to get one...well...just because!

Now, an RSCo/L&YR version would be awfully nice !

I am sure Alex will be along at some point with prices but I know he is working out instructions and packaging at the moment.
On a related matter, what would be the appropriate colours for the box (as per Mick's photo)?

Tappa, you ask about painting details, and despite laid down specifications, another "Mine Field". The attached shows the state of affairs in August 1990, and when I was still a "Young Lad".

Having closely inspected both the 4mm and 7mm scale offerings at length in both assembled and boxed unassembled kit form I have to concur with the sentiment but point out that in reality 'FAB' is actually somewhat of an understatement............

That is unless the FAB you refer to is 40ft tall and picked out in Neon lights.........;)

The one issue with this kit might be that it will leave you wanting a lot more model structure kits of the same quality and finish.:D

Absolutely wonderful and very faithful to the real thing.

I literally work about 1/4 mile from the prototype so pass it most days. A little too late for me as I have made my model from scratch based around Quay Crossing at Bridlington, (my first posting when I worked as a signalman many moons ago), but this model would have saved me a heck of a lot of work.

Smashing.

Cheers.

Sean.
