I saw Les Bevis-Smith today at our Autumn meeting and I had not remembered the price correctly. It was £2500 and Les remembers Vic reckoning that he had under-priced the job. Alan Brackenborough did the painting. The locomotive, along with Alan's other locomotives, is part of the Model Railway Club's collection.
Interestingly, Les remembers that Vic was the only professional builder at the time who would take the job on.
