New to forum......real name

I have just joined. I've no idea what this post will look like wrt my display name....

How do I change it so that the post doesn't display my real name?

I guess that if you register using your real name that's what will be displayed.

Like you I prefer to use a pseudonym.

I see no reason, while we all have a choice of user name, why a newly-joined member should not be allowed to change their user name if they mistakenly set it as their real name.

It's not a problem. I've sent a PM and I should be able to change it for him.

Could be a ruse. Throw us off the scent. Somebody tells you their name's their real name, but how do you know?

Personally, I think the IK's a bit of a giveaway. Is that you Mr Brunel??
