Hello all,
New to this forum today, I have escaped fom a couple of others. My modelling interests are 0gauge fine scale, set in the early BR period mid 1950's to mid 1960's, just on the change from steam to diesel, I am mainly a small kettle fan. The area is Lincolnshire so mainly ex LNER with a bit of ex LMS thrown in for good measure. My modelling is mainly kits, either white metal or brass, don't like plastic they melt when I go near them with the soldering iron, I scratchbuild sometimes but not very often. Haven't got a proper layout yet but keep trying to get started amid all the other jobs. When it is eventually started it will be Spilsby, this was closed for passengers in 1939 and closed completely in 1958, there is nothing left now other than the goods shed (see disused_stations). My aim is to replicate the station etc, but as it might have been up to the end of steam, if I can afford them there may be a railcar or two.
