Odd scenic material

I like creating the scenery for Beaminster Road, unlike the rigid disciplines of replicating man-made objects, the opportunity to do something requiring a holistic approach is rather enjoyable.
When I encountered Soil Topper, my first reaction was of 'what can be done with this stuff' and an order was duly placed.
It arrives in a slim plastic envelope, the material has a plastic woven backing and needs to be cut rather than torn apart, sticking it in place with a good PVA seems to work but the hard edges need to be softened with scatter or grass material.

It is seems best in the margins, under hedges or trees, I have used it at the edge of the cess with good results - I would suggest that it is a bit too chunky for anything below 1:76 but the 1:43 crowd should take it onboard.
The product does not seem to be available in the UK however garden centres or DIY rather than model outlets are the best chance of finding it.
