Thankfully a lot of Peter Handford's Transacord recordings are being made available as Digital Downloads, albeit in MP3 format only:

Steam trains, Transacord Digital

No sleeve notes yet, but they're working on it. I can help with "Great Central" & "The Railway to Riccarton", as I scanned my LP covers.

Also asked if they will be making the recordings available at higher quality (24-bit/96Khz FLAC).

I've got at least a couple of those recordings somewhere - on both cd and record but didn't recognise mine among the selection shown.

Good inspirational music for playing trains and modelling though
