I have for some many years been wanting to do something for the trio of Beattie Well Tanks to run on. Nanstallon on it's own would have been dull but hint of Nanstallon with hint of Wenford is better IMO.

Total joy being back at work and doing video calls 8+ hours a day.

Made an effort tonight to go for a run and then do some modelling.

The above is a very good show and tell of why 25 year old me, and today's version, have rather different aims in this fine hobby!!

Anyway, many hours later I've reached this point.



I can't help but think that the kit is overly complicated for what it actually is. Not a straightforward kit to make and I suspect many have been thrown at the wall part completed over the years!

I did replace the paper floor with some plasticard to try and give the building some strength and rigidity.

Ballasting completed apart from some touching up of loose and untidy bits.

No updates for a while as work has been silly busy. The LSWR cottage is however progressing.



Roof and chimneys mostly done.



Research material for the next bit... Windows.



It's a 'based on' rather than a replica so I won't be too fussy.

Will leave them to harden over night before giving the surface a light sanding and cutting them out.

Would have been harder to do without the Chopper.

• 2 porches
• Downpipes
• Chimney flashing
• Ridge tiles
• Window sills
• Curtains
• A spot of paint
