They look like a genuine bargain to me.  Do Rails of Sheffield tend to have much 7mm stuff?

I can see why they were cheap, looking at the size of those lumps of coal   As Ant says though, a good buy if you can sort them out.

Hi Ian,

most if not all, of their O Gauge goodies are in their Ebay shop - follow the links down their home page. They are open to offers - a friend of mine got a JM Models Fowler 2-6-2t for £650 - they were asking £895!!

cheers

Not bad at all for the price - and quite repairable.

Rails did have a rather ropey Class 37 on Ebay awhile back - a good contender for how not to build a kit! No idea if it sold or not...

Hi all,

Yes Rails have a few kit built wagons, some of them are ropey !!. You have to go to their shop in sheffield & ask for the secondhand shop, They will then open the side shutter door & invite you in.

They have N, OO & O gauge allsorts, Some good bargains in there. Cheaper than eBay. I sometimes buy OO stuff & put on eBay for myself !!

These two Hoppers do need some repairing. One of the bodies is skew wiff.

Been to Rail's today. Plenty OO & N, a little bit of O, but not worth my money.

An update of one pic of the Hopper...

Phill,
I'd guess he's got some lotion for those by now.  Nasty, but not normally infectious...  :))

Steve,
Sorry about that - I was wondering how you were getting on with the vans too...

The hoppers have not been made up very well. Theyre twisted, so the best thing was to break them down & start again... Properly  ;D
