Coming together nicely - could not the rubber be lazered onto the glazing somehow and rebate the back of the rubber area to aid the fit then secure into place with canopy glue.

cheers

A rather fine area of the Country, that...

I don't think I'm fit enough to cycle that bit, let alone all the rest..!!!
Then again I was never much good on 2 wheels... probably why I spend most of my time on 14 of 'em these days.... :))

Sorry... back to the thread............. :-[

A rather cruel enlargement  showing the headcode glazing in place although it still needs  a little tidying and tweaking.
This weekends phrase is 'assemble the body'  three little words that will probably involve 2 nights work  :))

Where do you get your thin acrylic from? I need some <= 1mm, not for windows but I want to make one of my signal box kits totally in clear acrylic for display purposes.

Thanks

Rob

I has taken me since 11 this morning but the body is assembled  8)
the white bits you see on the cab and under the cantrail are 10thou plasticard which will be sanded to form a smooth join as there was an unavoidable step between the cab and roof

Wax on, wax off.  wax on, wax off. wax on, wax off..... :))
I couldnt resist chucking it on the chassis, and whilst it isnt going to be the greatest ever finescale model it is starting to look like a 105

hi Cynric,

looking the business now.

Is there any chance of a close-up of the filler caps that fit in the bodyside? as I think that they may be similar to those fitted into the sides of the Sandite units. If so, I might be able to get Shawn to include some in the kit that I am about to order.

cheers

Most of the large underframe castings have now been added, and as they are rather heavy most of them have been glued and pinned/screwed in place.
