Western Thunderer
After what seems like an eternity, I have at last returned to the workshop after more than seven months and hopefully, things have now settled to let me spend even more time there.
And what better way to get back into the swing of things than finishing off a couple of Sidelines ex LMS D2046 Inspection Saloons. The Blue/Grey one is a commission and the retro LMS livery will be appearing in the Sales section. Both were painted form rattle cans obtained from a local car paint outlet, the bodies are cellulose and the chassis satin black acrylic with Railmatch frame dirt and Tamiya weathering powders and pints over - oh and the 'usual' track plans on the tables.
Attention now (re)turns to the Bachmann 121 number 121034 as refurbished including the anti footstep guards, and used on the Chiltern line. It will have directional lighting via a DCC decoder but will run on DC tracks.
Great to be back.
cheers
Mike
