7mm Ressaldar's Workshop - yet more Inspection Saloons

After what seems like an eternity, I have at last returned to the workshop after more than seven months and hopefully, things have now settled to let me spend even more time there.

And what better way to get back into the swing of things than finishing off a couple of Sidelines ex LMS D2046 Inspection Saloons. The Blue/Grey one is a commission and the retro LMS livery will be appearing in the Sales section. Both were painted form rattle cans obtained from a local car paint outlet, the bodies are cellulose and the chassis satin black acrylic with Railmatch frame dirt and Tamiya weathering powders and pints over - oh and the 'usual' track plans on the tables.

Attention now (re)turns to the Bachmann 121 number 121034 as refurbished including the anti footstep guards, and used on the Chiltern line. It will have directional lighting via a DCC decoder but will run on DC tracks.

Hi Richard,

many thanks, it felt a lot longer....................

I have also managed to get Malcolm Binns to do me a 'one off' side so that I can do the BR built version in the DB999501 - 4 series but am undecided as to whether to do 503 in Regional Railways livery or 504 in EWS livery, we'll see when the time comes.

cheers

Very nice Mike I do like the Lms one. I own the old Stafford one. I do all my stuff in BR but seeing this maybe I should think again.

Hi Pete,

glad you like them. The maroon one is 'as running' late 70's early 80's so is just BR. If you recall, I am also doing your KDW150266 from one of your H33 Restaurant coach kits,

so hopefully it might be ready to bring over to give it a run on your layout when we visit in November.

cheers
