Hi all,

Just got posting rights, so I thought I'd introduce myself.

'Shunter', because that is what I tend to like doing (!).

At the moment I'm in the (very slow) process of creating an '0' gauge back to back micro layout to play trains on in the winter months; summer months I usually ride my bike, (cycle).

Other hobbies are computers & FOSS (Free Open Source Software), mainly Debian based Linux distros. (Also used to take photos, but don't seem to do it much nowadays.)

I recently purchased a Bachmann Brassworks Gauge 1 Class 04 Shunter, as I couldn't resist any more, especially at the price it was on offer for. Now I will have to get some track for it, I guess.

My likes are small micro layouts & shunters.

Hi Shunter, welcome aboard. You might need to resurrect your photography skills as we like lots of photos on the posts.

I notice your location, are you a member of the Guildford OGG by any chance, I was prior to moving here in 2004.

Hi Mike,

I'm a G0G member but don't have transport, so no I'm not a member of any groups.

Nearest would be Farnham MRC, but thats down one big hill & up the big hill the other side of the valley !

(Lack of transport has always been a problem for me; public never goes where I want, nor from where I'm at !!!)

If I get a layout made you'll get pics, but until then......

Haha, I had to put mine back in its box as it was too distracting on the desk You're right, at the price you just can't 'not do it'.

Yes, mine came in that colour too - probably why they were so cheap - but it'll repaint nicely into GREEN
