Simple techniques for weathering (simulating exposed metal/rust)

Following interest expressed by members in the appearance of models of heavy plant on a recent thread, I thought I’d post up the following video as an aid to those wishing to have a bash themselves:

Essentially a basic form of techniques used by military modellers, I think it would be of value to railway modellers too, and is worth a watch in any case if only for its entertaining aspect as well as wonderful production.

I’ve @Heather Kay very much in mind here with her added interest in military modelling.

Thanks Jonte. Most of my military modelling has wings and tends to weather differently to heavy metal objects. Still, all good and useful stuff to know.
