The next layout, currently in the planning stage, will be yet another backwater. This time, an ex-Great Eastern rural idyll is the order of the day.

Motive power will be a couple of Hornby J15 which has to be one of Hornby's finest models. Well detailed and with a twin flywheel motor. As you may tell, I'm very impressed.

Another small layout beckons.............

Here is a view of the first J15 to arrive.

Evening all.

A day of progress. One of those where you don't realise what you've done until you step back.

The loading dock is pretty much done, construction wise. I can now start on the finishing off. First job is to add a bit of contrast to the buildings so a week of painting and weathering will unfold.

The buildings are all loose. Once they are complete then the final bits of ballasting can be done and the track touched up here and there and the buildings finally seated. At least one of the Peckett's will be weathered.

Tonight saw the backscene added and for the first time the lighting fascia shared with Bleat Wharf was added and switched on. This is how Sheep Dip appears when illuminated as if exhibited.

I'm adding some extra colour to the excellent Bachmann buildings. A bit of paint and then finished off with weathering powders.
