It was meant to be a joke Heather - calm downAt the risk of dragging things further OT, it was quite common for the Luftwaffe to fit bombs to fighters for sweeps over England. It was pioneered during the Battle of Britain, when Erprobungsgruppe 210 did low, fast runs of Bf109 and Bf110 aircraft with bombs Over targets of opportunity. The Fw190 was able to carry bombs.
And now, back to our regular scheduled sheepfold…
