It's narrow gauge, it's set in France and it's absolutely gorgeous. I've long been an admirer of Daniel Caso's artistry but until relatively recently I hadn't worked out how to share it as the forum it appeared on required one to sign up however I've now found the images on Flickr. Here's just one of the fantastic buildings he's created and here's some railway interest. These are taken from this album which comprehensively documents the construction of the layout; there are 1690 images in the album but do take the time to look through it all as there is inspiration on every page. This is about as close to art as I've seen a model come.

I thought we were looking at a genuine Route 66 building. Actually, I think maybe we are!

David - that is probably the best I've ever seen.

I've been following Chuck's work on Flickr for some time. It is sublime stuff.

Chuck actually complimented me on one of my builds, too. Coming from him, I felt that was praise indeed!

Not soon, but they will reappear. I've made a schedule for the commissions, and I try to keep several on the go at once. When they reappear, I hope they'll take over and all get more or less completed at one sitting.

Daniels work is wonderful, I do like the storage solution as well.

Chucks work is amazing too.

Forgive me if this has been posted here before, and whilst it is more about cars ( and American ones at that ), I still think the images from Elgin Park take some beating too.
See here Michael Paul Smith Most everything is 1/24th scale or real juxtaposed as background . See also visitelginpark.com for more links .
