using glue.

In the end, no. I went for broke with the CA superglue as I have put in 'open windows' in the 'A' cab thus giving a way out for the odour to escape, which it did and no harm done. I have now progressed with masking off following my light containment trick with the marker lights and hopefully it will all be back in 1 piece by the weekend. I will try your solution on the next build.

I use superglue usually when I want to reinforce something, a dob of SG (mid way runny type) and fill the glue with micro glass beads, produces a really strong joint/repair, just did it yesterday with a broken Hornby close coupling arm, today it’s strong enough to apply enough pressure to plug into the NEM socket.
