The following website has an annotated collection of colour photos between 1905 and 1919. Although the subjects are from Russia they show the world before the age of mass transport changed everything so may be of use for those modelling early periods and/or rural idylls. There are a few railway photos too.

I know there is a very large archive of the photos commissioned by Albert Kahn which is sure to contain many railway items (possibly from UK too) however I think you have to go to Paris to be able to have a chance of seeing any of them:

There is a colour photo taken on Waddesden on the Great Central Metropolitan Railway taken in 1910, no trains are visable but it must be the first colour photo of a British railway subject
