Chaps,

firstly let me admit to having form. First there was Brokenborough (GWR Branch circa 1900,) then there was The Field (GWR Hockley Goods circa 1910 which became The Field BR Blue circa 1975), then along came Braunston Gate (Well known Leicester scarpyard) which later became Y Cae (The Field in Welsh as a colliery in the 1970s) and now there is Aberbeeg (BR Blue in 1975ish). All built to the correct track gauge and correct back to back, but in my own way. There will be another one when I can decide which of the many ideas will become the next sensibly sized trainset. For sensible, please understand that I mean something that will fit in the car rather than a 7 Ton truck. And for those of the blue persuasion, please appreciate that I consider blue to an undercoat!

Right, first attempt at a pickie to follow.

Welcome Simon,

And for those of the blue persuasion, please appreciate that I consider blue to an undercoat!

Ooooh, someone's been reading the 'about us' section  Comments of less substance than that have sparked colour wars :p:thumbs:

Welcome Simon,

Brokenborough was (is?) a super little layout and I recall operating it at a S7 bash in Wells several years back.

Hello Simon and welcome to WT! I look forward to seeing some pictures of Aberbeeg as it is now, having last seen it at Guildex a couple of years ago.

We have met before, I'm the bloke who was (is) building the 37 with the sprung bogies and traction motors.

Thank you chaps. Here is the first attempt at a photo upload. Brokenborough in times gone by!
Simon

Lovely layout:thumbs: More pics please.........particularly Brokenborough to feed my hunger for quality GW BLT's and Aberbeeg for its blue diesels and just for generally being a cracking layout ;).

Hi Simon!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing Aberbeeg again, especially with a few more signals added:bowdown:

Thank you for your kind comments. Pugsley, you have an open invite to run your beast on Aberbeeg. If we sell tickets we could clean up!

I am not sure if I can post the RM photograph that was doctored. I have their permission to use them on show guides but I had better check. In the mean time -
