WT via Safari on iPhone - idle query

Part of my preferred morning ritual is a nice espresso and a leisurely shave while browsing whatever's come up in WT since the previous day on my phone. It's more relaxing than Sky News.

However I sometimes find that Safari on my iPhone fails to render the WT site and displays a blank page with a "cannot find the server" error. However if I access it via another browser (usually Chrome) it's fine, and Safari usually picks it up later in the day. I'm on iOS 18.1.1 with updated apps, access via home BT wifi with no VPN. Anyone else seen anything similar?

I sometimes get it with Safari that the site doesn’t render properly and displays as a list running down the page, but it’s never anything more than a refresh can solve.

If drinking coffee and reading WT demonstrates an ability to multi-task, I can multi-task.
If shaving and reading WT is the criteria, I cannot multi-task.
Or even drinking coffee whilst shaving come to that....

I get that occasionally on Firefox.

I think that's a failure to read the CSS stylesheet and is usually a performance issue in that it can't be retrieved quickly enough - as you say a refresh would fix this.
