I spent many happy years on Southern slam door stock, 33's and 73's. TBH, at the time I moaned about the state of the 'slammers' as much as the next man - but now I sort of miss them - strange...

The 47 will be 47098 or 47147 both at Canton at the time. From the one grainy picture I've found of 098 the arrows are central.

That's a brave choice I've lost count of the number of folk I've put right when they've disbelieved that such things ever existed.
