Dog Star
Western Thunderer
Last year Peter and I did not make the trip to the 24 Hour race so that the Good Lady could enter and visit a National Quilt Show - we chose to do a Grande Tour of the West of Scotland and that included the Penguins at Edinburgh (a Grand Day Out). On reflection our decision to forego the race was a harmonious one as the Good Lady got a rosette for her quilt entry.
So this year the race does not attract because of the withdrawal of some of the LMP1 teams - can Toyota win finally ro is there some devious plan to dash their hopes? Instead of the pilgrimage down south we shall be heading north west, this year Peter and I are taking a week in mid-July to do the "Great Little Trains of Wales" (probably the Welsh Highland, the Festiniog and the Welshpool). In addition, there are a couple of other itches which need scratching:-
* the Llangollen Railway - any WTer who can offer a guided tour of the workshops?
* Coracles... about fifty years ago my Parents took me to see Salmon Fishing from Coracles, I think that this was at the Cenarth Falls. Anyone know where I might see this sight today?
Of course, other suggestions appreciated.
thank you, Graham
