Now then! - as they say as a greeting in these parts!
After a lot of pokes and prods from existing members on here and few weeks of nosing around the forum I thought it far time I introduced myself.
Im Neil, and although my interests vary a few years either way - I do tend towards modelling the late 60's - pre TOP's early 70's..with a mix of new blue and old green/maroon. With a smattering of Industial stuff of the same period for good measure.
That said although I have been involved in the design and construction of several exhibition layouts that have toured both here and on the european circuit - the main contenders that I have to take the main blame for have been the 4mm scale industrial based 'Walker Marine', 'Carlton Metals' and more recently the 7mm scale 'Hospital Gates' all of which hail from an earlier time frame. The latter even set in the Big 4 era!
Im not a WR modeller per'se - my interests (like those of the highly productive group im a member of) tend to be a bit eclectic and focus on whatever particular project we have taken on. Though this has been known to extend to GWR stock in 7mm scale and WR in 4mm relating to current layouts we have on the go at present...... a couple of shots of which can be seen here.
