About 20 years later we were tipped off about another LNWR van body about 15 miles away, which turned out to be an 18ft version of the same thing. Didn't know 18ft versions even existed, so the process was repeated. Turned out to be almost identical except that the double luggage doors were a single door, with panel sizes adjusted very slightly to suit - and one side of that was 1ft away from a stone wall and in full LNWR livery!

Yes John. There was not much time before it was moved off site and has now deteriorated, but it still exists, just. I can send you the drawing if you fancy a scratch build. The livery on withdrawal was, I believe, LNWR carriage green, so quite old!

Hi Michael,it's an LNWR brake van. I still need to tidy up the lining.. Ian Rathbone has some photos on his website of four of these early coaches.
His is by far is better than mine
