Saturday 18th October 2025
Sunday 19th October 2025

Open 10am till 5pm both days.

The 2025 Uckfield Model Railway Exhibition will once again be featuring a selection of some of the best quality layouts around. There will be full trade support as well as Demonstration and Society stands. Licensed Restaurant within the Civic Centre will be open throughout the weekend. There will be bacon/sausage baps for early arrivals to purchase - from 9am.

Once again this year sees the inclusion of Scalefour Southeast, a Scalefour Society regional event. Featuring the Society's Publicity Stand and the Scalefour Stores, along with four P4 layouts and a full schedule of demonstrations that should appeal to railway modellers of all scales and skills. We will also have the 2mm Scale Association Roadshow in attendance, featuring the Association sales and membership stand along with three 2mm finescale layouts for you to enjoy.

Celebrating the 40th exhibition milestone, the layout list includes some circuit favourites along with several debut appearances. With locomotive control recently changed to DCC with sound, Vincent de Bode's Flintfield portrays a Great Eastern Railway country terminus in about 1910. Having been refurbished and extended, Gordon Gravett's 7mm scale layout Ditchling Green representing a small Sussex BR Southern Region station will also be in attendance.

With the magazine Model Railway Journal celebrating 40 years – MRJ 0 appeared in January 1985, followed by issue 1 the following April – a couple of models that featured in that preview issue will be appearing at the exhibition. The late John Watson’s P4 model of Laxfield on the Mid Suffolk Light Railway will be making a rare appearance and the topic of Iain Rice’s article about the construction of a "be-rivetted drudge", the GER Class M12 Bromley Tank, and which featured on the front cover of the magazine, will be undertaking shunting duties on Flintfield.

The show has its usual eclectic mix of layouts, with of the 20 layouts scheduled to attend there will no less than 11 different scale/gauge combinations represented. Standard and narrow gauge British, Continental and American prototypes.

Flying in from Dublin to Gatwick in the morning and with the assistance from a rental car I should be there for 10.00.

I enjoyed the show when I attended two years ago and I am looking forward to it again.

I will be wearing a EMGS tee shirt with South Dublin Model Railway Club hoodie

Cracking show, thanks to all involved for putting it on. Did anyone else become stressed carrying the ticket around or was it just me ?
It's alright I know the reason for it.

Sheep Dip has returned home. A pretty decent run back to the Principality in just under 4½hrs saw an arrival just before 22.30.

My thanks to everyone who stopped to chat ( lots and lots of chatting ) and to say kind things. It was at times, very busy and I do apologise to anyone who I was unable to speak to..

I lost mine just showed my programme

I did find a ticket on the floor in front of Sheep Dip.

As ever, Adrian and the club members were wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough for this solo Exhibitor..

An excellent show.
