It has long been one of Chris Pendleton's 'things' to try and reproduce, on model semaphore signals, the graceful action of the prototype as seen at the arm and as felt at the lever. This is one of the great pleasures of the traditional railway and here Chris relates how he achieved this characteristic effect.
