2mm/2mm FS
Ever since we saw his work at a 2mm Scale Association annual meeting some years ago, we've been trying to persuade Stephen Harris to describe his extraordinary layout in MRJ. Driven by a passion for modern freight stock - which he dwells upon here - Steve had to learn a lot, mainly through failure, in his attempts to graduate from N to 2mm finescale. The result, which he has at last written about, is a masterly depiction of somewhere in South Wales, not very long ago.

Layout Ideas: New Basford
p.76
The purpose of this occasional series of 'Layout Ideas' is to suggest layouts which can be enjoyable to watch and operate as well as being pleasing to the eye. Although 'real' places will be featured, it is not suggested that they be modelled slavishly.
