2015 Wagon Competition - an open wagon

What is the definition of a open wagon in the rules of the competition... ?
The competition is intended to encourage kit building and participation so the scope of "open wagon" is left rather wide, if any wagon type might be excluded then that is likely to be the GWR Manure wagon and only on account of aroma.

Go exotic if you wish... there are some impressive prototypes to be found in the Engineer's fleet or amongst those used for special, heavy, loads. On the other hand, a simple, traditional, merchandise wagon shall be welcome.

What I have in mind is flat and with bogies, does that count?

When the 2015 wagon building competition was announced in the S7 Group Newsletter earlier this year (and in the initial post to this topic), there were some aspects of the competition which had not been decided - for example:- the judge of the entries, the award to be made to the winner. Whilst the pending details were agreed at the last S7 Group Committee meeting the information was not included in the most recent Newsletter.

An addendum has been added to the S7 Group website, here, and this update on the competition is in the public part of the website. In short, the additional information relates to:-

* the judge is to be a well known supporter of 7mm modelling;
* the winner of the competition is to be presented with an award to be known as the Chairman's Cup;
* security of entries.

Any questions relating to the competition, please ask.

regards, Graham
