I had one which had had the glazing knocked out during transit, I've kept this one for my self as it's being resprayed the glazing will need to be removed any way. I decided to add a news paper on the dash,

Its been hidden away now as it's going under the Christmas tree. With a set of Severn mill plates. Some time next year she will emerge like this one,

I can't decide on the yellow end or not, I will remove the air pipes under the buffers, replace the pipes with cast ones and change the coupling. Then it will be sound fitted.
Oh and lastly I will replace the lamp irons to the original type, the models have the later piece welded on so they could carry standard lamps.

Over the weekend whilst working on Leamington Station I had the chance to have a look at two wagons that are nearly finished for Ranelagh bridge.
The first is a tool van,

The second is a GWR gas cordon

Both have been built and painted by Michelle Davidson, I will be collecting them in December.

A date for your diary,

This will be the last show I will be displaying Canton before it moves to its new home.

So the burning question;
Should Ranelagh bridge be built as a portable layout to take to exhibitions or as a layout that never leaves home .

Hybrid western this evening, I managed to pick up a D1000 body on eBay over the weekend. So this evening I've been swapping all the bits over.
I'm going to take the skirts off and give them a coat of primer & see what spray I can find to match the sand. I need to clean up
The holes for the pipes and replace the steam heat and vacuum pipes with some nice cast ones. Oh and some new screw link couplings.
I couldn't decide on whether to have a yellow end or not but I think I will.
