I have class 86 and 87 models built by MTH of this Parrish and they have turned out very nicely thank you, they are both in the bettor shade of BLUE with full Yellow ends. MTH CAN make a silk purse from a sows ear just like you have Done

Lovely models. We had one of those run around our club track a while back as a guest. Nice looking locos.

Welcome aboard!

It would appear that my comments were tactless and critical of your work, that was not my intention and apologies for any stress caused to your good self or anyone else.

Thank you for the additional information, I will add it to my collection as it makes it the earliest loco to carry a small yellow panel by a full year on my previous collection of images.
Not at all, dont fret:D

Due to various ongoing cardio health issues I dont do as much these days but managed to get these two virtually finished as they were started a couple of years ago. The 81 is the third for the same fella just needs lights, nos and crests now.

Hi

Your 73 looks fantastic, how did you find building one of these? Thinking of picking one up myself but I've never built a brass loco kit before, I am, as they say, hard of soldering!

Joe,

Delayed reply but might be worth while if you had a go at say an etched wagon or two to practise on ?.When i started building in 7mm back in the early nineties the first things i had a go at building were some ABS whitemetal wagon kits and got used to soldering and putting them together then painting them then I went on and bought a s/hand etched brass CCT kit and sort of went from there. A bit later I was given an incomplete RJH 10000/1 kit and spent some time making that up with their famous instructions!

Regards

Al

Very nice, I'm a big fan of electrics and especially like the early Electric blue.
It would be nice to see it with 10 maroon mk1's behind it.
