Hi to all,
My name is Tom and just entered my 70s, and have just two years ago come back to railway modeling after the sudden death of my wife, and, a very new guy to DCC and as such much to look into, but, my layout progresses very well and have a Heljan class 25 for track testing which after ballasting seems to be AOK, very nice to; it is a branch terminus to a smaller station and the usual fiddle yard main control being a NCE controller, Thanks.

Hello Tom
Welcome. I feel for your situation as my wife died couple of years ago and modelling stopped as I look after myself and have slowed down as I reach 84 in just over 3 months.
I have restarted with the encouragement of friends, see my post "a demonstration layout"
Regards
Allen

Tom,

don’t worry about posting pictures, it’s really easy.

If you have an iPhone or iPad, I’d suggest click on the “attach files“ button, below left, then “take photo”, take picture, put your cursor in the right place in the post, and click the “+Full” on the photo. Job done…

I’m sure Android phones are very similar, it’s a little more faffy to do it with a computer, but the principles are the same.

enjoy!

Welcome Tom.
Losing your dear partner suddenly must have been terribly distressing and a shock, sincere condolences.
You've accomplished much with your modelling return, well done!
I'm certain we all are looking forward to seeing and reading more from you about your modelling adventures.

Welcome Tom
As others have said there is a very wide range of inspiration on this forum and many talented modellers. Very broad interests here.
When I joined 10 years or more ago Simon Castens told me be aware of the "distractions"!!
Well each time I log on it absorbs me....!
You'll get used to uploading photos just have a go.
All the best
Julian
