I've been working on my station board the last week or so.

The first task was to install the backscene and then add a curve to it which I'm part way through as the photos show. Next was the fun task of lining up the platform to get a decent fit across the baseboard which involved quite a bit of fine tuning! It's not that great but it's as good as I can do. While doing so I used my 09 shunter for clearance checks as it just happened to be lying around the layout and I've found it doesn't like the curved platform! I think the 09 must have felt left out when I did my clearance checks as my 158, western or a cargowaggons all sneak through fine. Oh well it shouldn't be too difficult to resolve.
Then I've bedded in the weathering of the platform so hopefully it all looks ok.
A terrible photo using my phone along the tracks.
I've been using a Hornby (made in West Germany) footbridge as a temporary scenic break which I bought secondhand and was built by someone else. I find it useful to gauge what the station will look like, but the only issue being floor mounted rather than platform mounted.

One day I'll have time to build the rather nice etched kit but in the meantime the poor old footbridge has had some proper rough hacking to make it roughly platform mounted.

It's a very crude hack by me but I'm quite pleased it'll hide the exit till I get round to building a replacement (in more suitable colours but it's really growing on me.). It was never that square before but hopefully does a job of hiding the exit till the more refined version is built.
cheers for reading
