There’s a very blurry picture on the Gwili website of their preserved railcar which might give an idea, although the seats could have been re trimmed:

Mojo being slightly revived. As some of you may have guessed from recent posts aking for info about Dapols 121 bubblecar I have bought one and being me slashing reselling value by altering it.
I do remember travelling on bubblecars in the mid sixties and i do have the memory of vaux llight leather headrests as proved by various photos, both B&W and Colour that I have seen in various albums. So I went ahead and did some changes.

Before:

After:

I used Tamiya Wooden Deck Tan XF-78 pinted on the headrests and the seat divders is Evergreen strip 0.4mm x 1.5mm painted and cut to size nd glued with Glue and Glaze. with my ability to spread glue everywhere I'd use one which dries clear!

On the layout body yet to be screwed down and some chassis weathering started.

The light headrests now noticeable just like the photos in Stuart Mackays book and others.

I hope I've achieved the,( with the chassis) a look a a reasonably used DMU but it hasn't quite got the all over gungy brown that most seem to aquire after a fair time in service time in service. The roof, exhaust pipes and buffer beams need a little work.

The obsrevent of you will have noticed I had forgotten the step. Unfortunately in trying to bend the tch I rather messed up and it fell apart. However I decided to make a pair from the various sizes of Evergreen angle strip I had.
