The vintage bus was not very helpful. I got there at 10.17 and waited for over 30 minutes in the freezing cold before a couple of others decided to get a taxi. The return was timed on the hour taking about 10 minutes to get to the station. Both the Manchester train and the Paddington train left at 10 and 11 minutes past the hour. With the traffic both trains would have been missed. Didn't anybody look at the train times to co-ordinate the timing to alleviate a long wait for two major routes, one to London and one to Manchester and Birmingham.

we have in the past told our customers to wait inside the concourse of the station as they can see the bus coming and is not the new rocket assisted type will wait for you if they can see you walking towards it

I reckon the above post needs to be in a new thread - assuming there isn’t one on the various sub-species of 350hp shunters.

....and also the Modern Locomotives Illustrated on 08's is worth getting hold of for info.

Mr Savage, I have a serious complaint about this show...….

It was so darn good neither Mrs PT or I wanted to leave. This caused me to not have a Sunday roast and instead had to settle for beans on flippen toast!

Best show I have been to so far, absolutely brilliant!
