Tonbridge went well, layout ran faultlessly as is usual if all the cleaning is done in advance. My mini hoover seems to help picking up all the debris from the track rubber.

Tonbridge is a really good show with a great selection of smaller layouts. Nice to see Simon @simond and Ken @chigley

Here's a shot of the calm before the doors opened. Was very busy.

The next thing for Dublingham will be simulating wagon control, I've run the trains to a timetable since day one, but not simulated wagon control within those trains. It will add an extra dimension to the operating of the layout and will likely double the time it takes to operate the full sequence. Adding and removing wagons within the train will make the operation more realistic.

This document is my first piece of research into the subject, which discusses how goods depots should make sure they have the appropriate wagon for the next 24 hours.

Obviously the Americans got wagon control sewn up eons ago, one option for this is to use some software to generate random wagon control lists.

Switchlist can do this, I've programmed it previously but now have a greater understanding of how it might work in an exhibition setting.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has seen a layout do this in the UK before to see how they may have got on.
