Ross'll be the one with the really haggard, bags-under-the-eyes, not-slept -in-days totally glazed look... :))
just ply him with coffee and stand him in front of a Diesel layout; he'll be fine....

don't forget the gentle rocking backwards and forwards as though pushing an imaginary pram.

Been there, done that!

Have fun today everyone, and beware to those that might be towing trailers...

Mine and Colins trip last year was a horrible affair, couldn't wish it on anyone..!

Well I had a great time, I managed to meet, Phil at long last along with  Rob, Ian, and Mike (coming away with a nice bag of goodies    ). As well as seeing Steph and the famous continental coach, although it was almost form an orderly queue to see him ;D Severn had a go on the test track and managed a couple of laps but needed a lot of coaxing so I need to look at the pick ups.

On the shopping front I collected a Streamlined Duchess from David Andrews,  I got a Connoisseur Nellie loco as a fathers days gift from my son. a D&S NER Horsebox - as my gift to me  8) and some castings from Laurie Griffin for the A3.

All in all a super day!!

Really good to met up with you (Phill, Ross, Mike, Rob, et al) at the Show, and really enjoyed a long old day wandering round the trade stands.

I even managed to get Tower and DJH together to agree to another production run on the Class 42/43 Warship, so if there's any hydraulic nuts out there (like me!), that doesn't have the Tower Warship (like me! :'(), but wants one or two (like me!) then please give Tower a ring and express your interest  The more interest shown, the faster it'll happen. There's five of us who've placed £100 deposits and it's going to go ahead, but a further expression of support would only help speed things along!

Otherwise, it was just a bits and bobs day, although I did buy a couple of 45' bogie bolsters kits to while away these along summer(?) nights (and to give me a break from Monitor's cabs ;D). I though the JLTRT's latest offering was, again, an improvement on Heljans already pretty good Class 33, so it's a toss up whether I go for another 52 or a new 33 at Telford......  Wonder which'll win that one ::)

Hope the back gets better soon, Rob!

All the best.

Ian.

A pretty full on day for me too; I've come close to losing my voice! Thanks to Rob and Mike for coming to find me, I got only a few minutes away from the stand all day so can only apologise for missing everyone at the test track.

It sounds as though everyone had a good day... ;-)

Yes I can only echo what everyone has said..........great show, great atmosphere & great to meet all the Thunderers ........you couldn't meet a nicer bunch in my humble opinion

My purchases were rather pathetic really, I spent the princely sum of £3  :))..........but I do have one or two kits already awaiting my attention  :-[ ,  anyway I did get some gates for Withercombe's goods yard & some North British builders plate for my class 22.

I did spend a lot of time admiring the beautiful blue Westerns with Ian at the JLTRT  stand, which has spurred me onto wanting to get on with my JLTRT Wezzy........so once the garden railway season is over I will be cracking on with that & the BFYE class 22

I'm sure my lack of spending will be more than made up for at Telford though & I look forward meeting up with you all there  :D

Met up with Phill, Ross , Ian, Rob Steph and Rob at the test track and the chat was good.

I had a good day and bought a nicely made 20t brake from Wagon & Carriage in grey livery and a BLUE CCT from the E&T stand (when I found it) only needs a new set of pipes - and some weathering.

Squires did me proud with a new cutting mat and a 'shed load' of Plastruct for the servicing depot, so I just need some fine weather for when I start the assembly - in the open air 8) - CME - could you please remind me of that new odourless superglue that you mentioned a while back - might be the answer to some of my problems.

Hope all of the travellers had a safe journey home.

cheers

Mike

I completely missed the E&T stand :( but I did get a  Slaters MR cattle wagon for £10 from the bring and buy - a bit ancient but complete apart from bearings.
