You set the video as a private one.... I can't see it.

I'm going to nip downstairs to take some measurements for you - been a bit of a busy day today, and off to the SVR for the gala tomorrow.

You have picked up what we did, and it looks good. I have emailed you the dimensions we ended up with. One question raised yesterday was that of a chimney. There isn't one now, but would there have been one in the 50s? Surely there would?

Just as an exercise, I offer you these 3 grabs, taken perhaps 20 seconds apart on the same setting.

All the same blue, right?

All the same blue, right? ... :)
Tell me about it... I had fun trying to research the correct shade of blue for my HO stuff recently. Blue seems to be a very difficult colour to photograph properly, too - having got the correct shade, more-or-less, point the camera at it and it shows up a lot lighter on the screen... :headbang:

I wasnt entirely happy with the first model, after so many alterations it was a bit messy, so it has been redrawn.
We are happy with the roof, so it is just a case of filling in the missing bits. looking at some of the mouldings a proxxon micro shaper might come in handy to run them up.

Hi Guys

One of the longer-term aims I have for Heyside is to have all (or at least a substantial number of the major ones) the building interiors detailed. It strikes me that all new buildings as a matter of course should be as good on the inside as they are on the outside. This is of course a major task. To this end, I wondered whether any of you modelling wizards out there fancied contributing an interior somewhere along the line. Sort of a bit like Pendon, only better:)

So, starting with a banking hall, anyone fancy a go? Or a bedroom, grocery shop front, floor of a factory, signal box interior, pub.....

It might be a daft idea, but until you ask...

I think it's a great idea, and a way we/Western Thunder could be part of a future-Award-Winning layout as well...:)

However, as you say "modelling wizards", that counts me out, I reckon... this was the last interior I did, for the Yard Hut on Withyn Reach...

Although it does have the Station Cat, fast asleep in front of the fireplace...
