Those Welcome Wagons look pretty good and I was just about to order a Medfit ... then I looked at it again and something looked a bit off to me so I checked Mr Bartlett's most excellent resource and ... I didnt order it :(

Hi Jon,
I had a bit of a challenge with one of their Pipe wagons. It turned out OK but I ended up doing quite e a bit of scratch building. You can read about it from here

Oooh ... quite a bit of extra work on that pipe wagon but the finished result looks fantastic, and with correct proportions to my eye (unlike the medfit.)

Right, I'm off to add "Looking for: Excellent model weathering skills" to my match.com dating profile :D

What did you decide was wrong =with the (Steel?? ) Medfit? I like them, and at least it is a metal wagon, so suitable for reproduction in brass.

It is difficult to establish the solebar depth from the flat, but I agree it may end up closer to a 10 in. solebar than a 9in. However the length is c123mm - so 17ft 6in, height also appears to be accurate, although also difficult to judge from the flat, in comparison with Trevs drawing in
