Six of the Love Lane group have just completed an on-line meeting. We've had a very successful couple of hours sorting out the world, as usual, and discussing some modelling topics. We used Cisco Webex Meetings which David Rayner kindly organised for us. I thoroughly recommend this to other groups as a way maintaining contact. Janet has promised a 'virtual lunch' for next week.

Hi All,

John (Oz7mm of this parish) suggested that so we would not have to rely on Janet for sustinence we should have a buffet car on one of the trains on the layout. He bought one of Ian Kirk's kits for the Dia 167 in its rebuilt form and passed it onto me to make....

Does anyone have any photos of the interior of one of these in the late 50s/early 60s showing the table, chairs and counter area?

I'll try to get some pics of the progress so far; body sides, ends and roof.

Is this the same diagram as the one preserved on the North Norfolk Railway?

First meeting today for the Love Lane crew without Covid restrictions. So I took a customers Heljan BR cl25 diesel, converted to S7, numbered and weathered, for a test run.

Here just pulling into Love lane station with an all stations Liverpool St. bound service,
whilst a LT P.W. train awaits having been put into the yard head shunt to clear the road.


....and again waiting for the signal to depart Love Lane whilst a North bound passenger is leaving having waited for this service to come off the single line section.

Here you go JB .......although it needs either to be a bracketed signal on the retaining wall or have a repeater lower down as it can't be seen from the Up platform

There was rumour of an official notice from the PWay guys saying there were some new cracks appearing on the loco pit walls after the nineff had gone back to Stratford.

Sitting in the loco spur at Love Lane today was "Back from the Future" Cl 52 ' Western' on test trials.






Whilst later in the day saw 8F 48706 diverted off the LMR heading south through Love Lane on a vans train.

Also in the picture is Rhod's second ever wagon build, a Connoisseur LNER grain wagon, now with its first coat of freight grey. Another smashing job following his plate wagon.
