7mm Mink D dia V11

Hello all. Did these vehicles live in the Post Nationalisation or had they disappeared before then? I am modelling a shunting plank which saw Fruit D vans in BR livery quite common in the environs of Newcastle Central. If the dia V11 is out of date for 2955 to 1963 then it is going on the O gauge members sales page at £65 inc carrier regards John

That’s 1955. I doubt railways will be ancient history by 2955

Most did not survive the Second World War. Of the 50 built, the few that did survive were mostly converted to stores vans and lasted into the 50s. The Didcot example has been reversed from a stores van to its 'original' condition.
