Not sure how rare plated over portholes are on the straight/shorter boiler version but 4566 certainly has them.

Thanks - great detail photo. That loco ran with portholes in preservation so the way they have filled them in BR guise may not be entirely prototypical but even so, they are nothing like as prominent as the model. Just one of those things that annoys me!

Ps thinking about it, they went to look at that loco when developing the model....

Hartlebury Castle, lightly weathered and now with a removable head board. Head board bracket was added by a very good friend of mine, who just happens to be the best person in the world, with a soldering iron!

Here are a couple of mine on the Club's 12' x 2' Moss End MPD which is now coming together nicely, but still a lot of detailing etc to do.









excuse the alien Terrier but it is something special as far as I am concerned.
