Pannier coupling rods

OK Wise Owls.....

My knowledge of Panniers can be writ large on the back of a small postage stamp, so I'm throwing this out there, primarily so I can increase my knowledge & hopefully get a job done.

8750 class pannier tank coupling rods - can anyone fire me off in the direction of a drawing that gives dimensions of said beasties, please? I believe they should be 'fish belly'.....?? I've looked through my limited GWR library collection.

The reason for my question - I've recently acquired a GRS G3 kit for one of these (it was at a price that couldn't be dismissed) but..... it's a GRS kit - those that know, know....! The coupling rods in the kit bear just a passing resemblance to the real thing, in that they're parallel metal bars with 3 (4) holes in 'em & I've got a mate who's got a pantograph mill, so.... might as well get something done that looks more like the real thing.

As always, any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

John, thanks for that - I think that's one of the books that's in storage - a visit to the lock up required methinks.....

Take care though as this is Doug Hewson's interpretation for a 5" gauge 57xx upgrade to LBSC's 'Pansy' which was first drawn in the fifties! Having stated that, I have drawings both old and more recent for both versions and the rods don't look at all bad in either version. If you can source copies of Great Western Journal there are a number of 57xx photos scattered over various issues and number 8 of 1993 has a general arrangement drawing as well as an article on the engines.
