I was more thinking along the lines of the Panniers protecting the backscene.
I also meant to add a while back that I definitely think the inadvertent removal of the roof and the "scar" it left is a real bonus and certainly adds to its charm.
You've got me on that one Gbloke... Which roof are we talking about old fruit?
I know what you mean. I once dropped my BMW motorbike on it's side and the Pannier stopped any damage to the more delicate parts. They're tough little b*ggers don't underestimate the power of a Pannier !
The gable end of the clay dries ( or am I making it up ? That's the problem with having soooo many Birthdays ! )
And congrats for the invitation......so get on with it !
Well, I had a look at the backscene this morning and now the glue has thoroughly dried I can confirm that the corners are very solid and drum tight. No flex at all. Sorted.
Will be interesting to see if I can still shift the layout on my own!
Saw this rather nice looking layout was down for the Gaydon show and thought of you chum.View attachment 150039
That's nice, what's it called? Not seen it before.
Amazing, Google Lens identified it as Corwenna model railway! Looks like I'll see it at Stafford next year 2022.
I note Rob that you picked the photo with the Pannier, not the others that had a BWT in. Shocked!
A show of strength to keep those naughty green things at bay for a bit.
