The video shows that Mr Gawler is ready to take the next step and build a small shunting loco with S7 wheels, plenty of time until the next S7 meeting at Albury.

Just need two/three pairs of wheels and some spacing washers !!

Trespass - with menace.

The poor little thing (it has a certain charm) had been unceremoniously stuffed into the pocket of the perpetrator who had that give-away synthetic look of innocence about him, and when he thought nobody was looking he swiftly swiped it out with one hand and hoisted it over the boundary fence onto the track while the other hand, remaining in the other pocket, operated the covert controller.

A quick-thinking shunter managed to pinch-bar a rake of wagons onto the running line in an effort to lure it into a position opposite the water tank, where the local gamekeeper happened to be hiding from the local Bobby and Inspector (see platform views), and from where the little runt would have taken both barrels before it managed to clamber ungainly over the first point

. . .

Pfft! A most fragile claim of "trespass with menace", a concoction of AI-generated news reporting and this finished off with threatening undertones involving a firearm.

Best not mess with Lady Marion. Charming to most everyone, but I have found her older sister. A clear family resemblance, we can see. Now, some folk may be thinking she is dressed here up for some steampunk remake of Mad Max, but word has it she wears this garb every day. And when she hears bad talk about her kid sister and her minder (of course!), she gets a bit grumpy. Just sayin’, you understand.

Please excuse the tardy reply. I have done my best. Also thank you to Adrian @Buckjumper for the photo, which includes GER two plank wagon no. 2949 for the cognoscente.

How can there have been only 41 visitors?
There were more than that number queuing for the chairs (for guests, not for rail) at @Hayfield1 's 3-D printing demo each time I tried to get a look in!

I found Freddie to be a most delightful and somewhat shy young man. When I asked if he would like some coaches to pull round the layout he declined in a very dignified but reticent manner.

He was by far the youngest person there and I`m sure I would have felt overwhelmed at his age with such a large group of adults present who share a very esoteric corner of model railway modelling.

I hope we see him again.

I hope you made it, I really enjoyed talking and showing Templot 3D to so many enthusiastic people

I think as usual I took too much, and forgot to recalibrate the printer head after a long journey (lesson learnt for Kempton Park)

On the plus side, nothing left behind and I had physical examples to hand covering all discussions

You were so popular that on the occasions I made it across the hall to try to grab a seat I could never get a look in!
At least it serves to illustrate the interest there is in this process.

Heath Robinson, possibly from the book of similar cartoons which was published at the time of the GWR centenary celebrations.
Yes.

The book is entitled Railway Ribaldry. I bought my copy today. Sitting with it in a bar led to a discussion of matters railway with a complete stranger and their family, a pleasant evening. The cartoons are wonderful.

Good to see something worthwhile has come from your thinking on how to bridge the gap between standard and narrow gauge in 7mm scale. Or were you thinking standard and broad gauges?

To be honest Graham, if I ever try NG modelling I will use 5.5mm scale. I haven't seen much of this on WT. For now, I am happy to stay with 7mm and try out different interpretations of standard gauge.
