I see that the limited edition GCR 3 plank kit is currently shown as sold out. Is it likely to be reintroduced any time soon?

Tony
Can I ask, would it be possible to purchase just wagon bodies with buffers and axle boxes across the range from you? Your wagon bodies look excellent and I am interested in a number in your range however, I am a S7 modeller who prefers etched fully sprung axle guards and sprung buffers on my wagons.

Cheers

We haven't scheduled it for 2025. We can add a short run if there is sufficient demand, 4 kits being a single run on the build plate.

Cheers

My apologies, my previous message was not quite clear. I should have asked, will parts be available separately from the pre-grouping railway company kits - noting that they are already available from the private trader kit.

The answer is a little complex. Some of our kits (the full kits) are designed to have interchangeable parts and these are also designed to take S7 axleguards and allow the brakes etc to align.
Our easy build kits are - for the most part - from a pre-existing set of designs and are less adaptable. It is the case that these are either available in this format or not at all.

Send me a DM and we will see what can be done to help

The Fish Van has had the details updated, we've just not had time to get one decorated and photographed.

The Diag 1 and 81 opens are full kits, with optional parts for brakes and axleboxes. There are two versions of the Diag 1.
The Fish and the Tintab are easy build kits and come with the details already on the solebars.

Further details on the website

Thanks

These all look great, and very tempting! Just need to justify a L&Y wagon reaching the Dorset coast, pre common user arrangements...

Is it me, or are the push rods on the brakes of the 1-plank wagon the wrong way round? The lever would pull the brakes off, not apply them. As assembly error, possibly?

Nick.

Yes Nick. These were mocked up incorrectly . The body detail on the Fish has been also revised. We were caught between the LYRS magazine schedule and being unable to print because of the cold. Just shows you shouldn’t rush!

Many L&Y wagons had left handed brake levers, so either mount the brakes the other way around or move the lever to the other end.
