I give in. It's so much better than my effort that I now bow my head in shame.:bowdown:

Still, looking on the bright side, I already have several vehicles including locos using the original approach which work OK (I did the same on the buffers for 10000 and 10001) and apart from the issues of masking during painting everything in that patch of the garden is lovely.:)

If you (or anyone for that matter) have no issues masking for painting then none of the above really applies, just carry on as normal :thumbs:

These will also be useful for early locomotives where invariably the buffer casing was mounted halfway through the running plate. Stroudley locomotives are classic for this.
