Most of the ballasting has been done, waiting for it to dry now. The platform track will be done after the platform itself is completed and fixed down (after checking and double checking clearances, then check again).

How did you emboss the stone setts into the Das clay?

How did you emboss the stone setts into the Das clay?

Terry

I roll the DAS until it's about 1mm thick, then glue is down with a thin layer of PVA and use an old paintbrush ferrule to press the setts into it. I use a nylon stencil brush to stipple the surface before the clay fully dries.

The coaches are shortened Peco Lynton & Barnstaple coaches. I replaced the slot in solebar running boards with "I" section Evergreen styrene.

The platform has been fixed in position and the track ballasted. I managed to get some transfers for the goods stock, now I need some locos for and coaches. Any suggestions would be welcome, especially sheet numbers, as the lists on web sites are far from easy for me to decipher.
