I'm just about to embark on a lot of jetty and pier work on my US switching layout and I thought it best to get myself an inexpensive disk sander to ensure nicely finished square corners. I had a dig around and came up with this one on Ebay
HEAVY DUTY ELECTRIC Disc SANDER Power Tool Woodworking Finishing Workshop DIY | eBay
Imagine my annoyance when the same item appeared a day or two ago as a special at Lidl for £20 cheaper.
But mine just arrived this morning and it looks a good bit of kit, certainly more than good enough for the lighter end of woodworking in model making.
There's a review video of the Lidl one on Youtube. My Ebay one is exactly the same although I seem to have got two clamps with mine.
Proxxon 125mm sanding disks are suitable replacement disks according to the remarks on that video.
I thought members might be interested, especially with the £30 priced tag at Lidl.
Jim.
