Prototype SNCB at Antwerp-Berchem

I 'found' these two pictures hidden away on my lap-top and thought some of you might enjoy them. I do have a lot more taken at the time but they are all on 6"x4" prints and I have yet to find a satisfactory method of scanning and enlarging them to reproduce on here, so I hope that these two, taken on 10 May 2010, will at least be of some interest.

Both of these services were about to enter Berchem station, where most passenger services call. Freight traffic passes through on the lines to the right of these photos, curving round to the docks and then onwards to bordering countries. During my visits to Berchem I saw SNCB class 77, SNCF class 67 and even an EWS 66 on freight workings. It was, at that time, a most interesting place to see trains!

Roger.
