This will be old news for most of you but my copy of the August S7 Group Newsletter arrived today and I have to say I think it is a very good one. A good range of articles including Adrian's Midland tender underframe, Tony Watt's explanation with photographs of the fantastic James Peel Richards models, and Richard Chown building a very French locomotive, plus the usual area group round up and other bits. The Inspiration photos of Jonathan Bushell's 0-4-4t underframe with a cranked layshaft driving the driving axle by inside coupling (or are they connecting rods?) need to be seen.
So even though I can't get to meetings I think the Newsletter and S7 Stores mean the cost of membership of the Group is good value and well worth joining up for.
