Having said that, a rather tasty pair of flask wagons won the rolling stock award.Congratulations to the other award winning WT'ers as well!
It was a good show, I spent a lot of time just chatting to people and somehow managed to come away without buying anything!

Only took a few photos this morning.
Was quite taken with the Woodhead model, it's a shame it seemed to suffer from some show glitches.
JLTRT Class 27 nicely weathered.

Didn't take many photos as a certain blue box was weighting me down and I need to get on the road home, nice show again, met the all 'usual' suspects The cheque book, credit card and wallet are all back in the freezer cooling down LOL.
It was a lovely still crisp morning so popped into Bridgenorth on the way out from the hotel and bagged a few 'kettle' photos

There was a small diorama of a French Tram, progress impeded by a flock of sheep, in front of a Blacksmith's, and at the side of the building was a Gent's urinals, complete with man, having a wee. And he wasn't just 'in position' - oh no; the modeller had used a thin clear nylon filament to depict the er, "activity"... Young boys do find 'bodily functions' so very funny...
Was it complete with DCC sound?

Talking of Lima bashing, i managed to get my hands on a Lima Toad brake van for a pricely sum of £10.50
This will of course be re-wheeled detailed and weathered.Good to catch up with many WT's. sorry to have missed both meet ups, people to see ,deals to be done etc.
Although i think my mate got the bargain of the weekend. A Heljan 31 for £150 with only a damaged light although it said it didn't work it did

They aren't Catfish & Dogfish! I think they are armour plated barrier wagons for a new 7mm version of the old Tri-ang Battle Space Train from the 1960s!

The 9f is from Lee Marsh and very nice it is too, sadly I have to wait until this time next year to get mine !
The dog fish and cat fish wagons are nice, nicer than they look in the picture, not as nice as DJPs but equally you don't have to make them, but I still intend to make all 8 of mine, and I intend to buy some of these too.
The woodhead layout was nice, sadly not all the stock running on it was, some of it was shockingly bad.
The Heljan 40 looks good, it will be their best model so far, the 60 looked good too. The wagons looked even better, not sure about the rail car though, I won't buying one of those.
What we really need though is a good DMU, either from Heljan or JLTRT.
It was nice show pretty quiet today.

Fantastic weekend, good to meet a few from here for the first time.
Good to see plenty of modern image layouts.
Got myself a JLTRT TTA tanker and decided on a 37 and a 50 to keep Black Watch company

I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. As an exercise in flying the modelling business flag I think it was very successful. As any show demonstrator knows, precious little modelling gets done, but then that's kind of the point!
Mr Beare aided and abetted my attempts at sticking bits on a JLTRT TTA by casually demonstrating how to break things. As I don't intend the model to be completed in any meaningful sense, I was not unduly bothered. Besides the damage was easily mended, and gave us both a good chuckle!
Seeing the JLTRT team in action over two-and-bit days was interesting. Hearing Pete hold forth on various topics was enlightening, as was the speed with which he disappeared off home at the earliest opportunity on Sunday afternoon! I think I'd do much the same if I felt I would only be in the way during breakdown and packing.
The only thing that was annoying - and partly why I'm tapping away at this post at this ungodly hour - is a security light just outside our hotel window. It's supposed to come on to let you get into the hotel front door, and then go off again. What it actually does is come on, then off, then on and off for about ten minutes. Friday night it kept me awake, as it came on at random times when no-one was trying to use the door. Saturday night I was too knackered to be bothered by it much. Tonight, it was fine, until about 3am, when it decided to flick on and off comtinuously. I shall have words with the manager later. Otherwise, the accommodation has been excellent.
If I can stay awake long enough, we plan to drive home via Ironbridge, then down the A5 to Milton Keynes to catch up with some old friends we've not seen in ages. If I'm still sentient, we should be home in sunny Chatham late this afternoon. No doubt our cat will be only too pleased for us to be home again!

and you lucky devil I'll have to make do with my Seven Models Crosti for the time being I didn't spot anything overly bad but then I didn't look at all the stock, I agree some of it wasn't Loveless quality but then a lot of it was scratch built of modified and probably the only examples out there. They did suffer badly from DCC problems which I think they finally worked out was the class 56 model.[/quote]
There does seem to be a smattering of DMU's out there from different sources but one big hole is the BRCW 104 and 110 Calder Valley sets, I still have my eye on the Easybuild 105 but it's not 'quite' top of my list, a 101 or 123 kit would be nice.

I'm interested to see how you tackle your Mk1 upgrades, I have some mad cap schemes that might use them as a shell or basis for part scratch building projectsGreat show & great weekend.....I will post a few phone pics when I get home from work
